Plot[]
The three Heroes of Trine (Amadeus, Zoya and Pontius) are on a quest to save Prince Selius from his nightmare magic and return him to the Astral Academy. After accidentally awakening his nightmare magic in his family's library, he was imprisoned there for his own and others' safety. When other students are given the chance to practice their magic in the dungeons, they release him and he runs away. The Heroes of Trine follow him, fighting his and others' nightmares along the way, and try to convince him to come back with them.
After the main adventure, a second one opens when Cornelius finds a magic music box with a malignant spirit. The box puts all the students under a sleep spell, so Selius uses his newly tamed magic to open a door for the Heroes of Trine to enter their dreams. They adventure through these dreams to save the students.
