The resting place of the Old King's journal
The Old King is a character in the first game’s storyline.
The Old King lived in the Great Castle in the middle of the Forest, the ancestral home of the kings.
He became obsessed with the three Artifacts of body, mind and soul. He managed to get possession of two of the Artifacts, that of body and that of mind. He took the Artifact of body and matter and paired it with the Artifact of mind and power, but, without the Artifact of soul and righteousness, the power of the Artifacts became twisted. The Old King’s soul became corrupted, and when he died, his corrupted spirit lived on and became known as the “Skeleton Wizard”.
The Old King wrote a Journal, which the three heroes find in the Great Castle.
Trine 3[]
It is revealed in Trine 3 that the Old King and Sarek are not the same person. The Old King grew mad on his deathbed, and demanded he be called Sarek. After his death, the Old King’s spirit lived on and stole the Artifacts of body and mind.
